Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT
Full payment is required prior to service.
A valid debit or credit card must be kept on file with your AbracadaClean office. Your account will be automatically charged before each scheduled service:
For recurring cleanings, the charge will be processed the morning of your appointment.
For One-Time, Deep Cleaning, and Move In/Out services, payment will be processed two business days in advance.
If your card is declined, we will attempt a second charge. A $25 fee will be applied for each failed transaction. If payment cannot be secured in time, the appointment may be canceled and cancellation fees may apply as outlined in our Cancellation Policy.
AbracadaClean accepts MasterCard, Visa, and American Express debit or credit cards only.
Checks and cash are not accepted.
To avoid service interruption, please ensure your payment method on file is up to date.
ACCESS
You have several options for providing AbracadaClean entry to your home: The most straightforward method is to leave a key to your residence with AbracadaClean. Your key will be securely stored in our key safe. All keys are coded for security purposes, and your name or address will never be attached. If you have an alarm system, please provide access instructions to your AbracadaClean office.
For your protection, we do not return keys via mail. We request that customers visit their AbracadaClean office and present a photo ID before a key is handed back. If leaving a key with AbracadaClean is not feasible, you may meet the service provider at your home. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy should AbracadaClean be unable to access your home during the agreed-upon arrival window. If neither of the above options is possible, please make alternative arrangements with your AbracadaClean office.
Right to Refuse Service :
AbracadaClean reserves the right to refuse or stop a cleaning service if the environment is deemed unsafe or if the condition of the home is extreme (e.g., hoarding, unsanitary buildup, post-party mess, mold, or other hazards). If the service is refused on-site for such reasons, the full cost of the cleaning will still be charged.
Employee Safety :
The safety of our cleaners is a top priority. If any member of our team feels unsafe at any time — due to aggressive behavior, unsafe conditions, or any form of threat — they have the right to leave the property. In such cases, the full service cost will still be charged.
SCHEDULING
Recurring cleanings are scheduled based on our checklist and priorities discussed during your consultation. One-Time Cleanings are scheduled as standard time blocks. We will make every effort to complete your service within the allocated time. If you opt out of a deep clean at the beginning of your service, please note that it may take several cleanings to establish your ongoing maintenance needs. We ask for your patience while we learn the best way to clean your home and assure you that our maintenance cleanings will address areas requiring additional attention as promptly as possible. Some homes may incur a first-time cleaning fee.
Please note that recurring maintenance cleanings are not deep cleanings. They are designed to keep a home clean and fresh once a baseline has been established. If a deep cleaning has not been completed first, some areas may not receive full attention during initial recurring visits.
Every started hour is due.
Booked/reserved hours are billed in full, even if they are not fully utilized on the day of the service.
We strive to ensure that the same staff members clean your home or office regularly; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Due to vacation, illness, or departure from the company, AbracadaClean may occasionally send a replacement professional cleaner.
If, due to the unique nature of your home, your service providers are unable to complete your cleaning within the requested time, we may call you for authorization to spend more time cleaning. We will inform you of any additional costs before proceeding. We reserve the right to charge extra fees to the final price of cleanings considered heavy or inconsistent with the home description provided at booking. To be safe, always review the information you entered in the booking form and remember that, to perform our job, you should leave the place uncluttered.
Impact on Recurring Services:
Recurring cleaning services are designed to maintain your home at a consistent level of cleanliness. When a cleaning is canceled or postponed, the time between visits increases, and the service may require significantly more effort on the following visit. If the condition of the home requires more time due to the extended gap, additional labor charges may apply. We will notify you in advance whenever possible.
To maintain the benefits of discounted recurring rates, clients are encouraged to adhere to their regular cleaning schedule. Repeated postponements or irregularity may result in a reclassification to a One-Time Cleaning rate or a price adjustment to reflect the increased workload.
Understanding Cleaning Time and Hourly Billing (Man-Hours):
Our cleaning services billed by the hour are calculated in man-hours, not by the number of cleaners. For example, a 6-hour booking may be completed by 1 cleaner for 6 hours or 2 cleaners for 3 hours each — the total labor remains the same. The price is identical regardless of how many cleaners are assigned, and all reserved hours are billed in full.
ARRIVAL WINDOWS
To ensure quality service for all valued clients, AbracadaClean cannot guarantee exact arrival times. Arrival windows allow our professional cleaners to manage the variables of each day and each home without affecting the promises we make to you.
Service provider(s) will arrive within the following timeframes:
– When we have a key to the home, our arrival window is between 8am and 4pm.
– When we are meeting someone at the home, we will set a two-hour arrival window between 8am and 4pm.
ROTATION SYSTEM FOR RECURRING CLEANING SERVICES
As part of our recurring cleaning services, we use a rotation system for certain specific tasks. This means that not all areas of your home are fully cleaned during each visit. For example, tasks such as baseboard cleaning or other specific elements may be performed on alternating visits.
However, if you would like certain tasks, such as a full cleaning of all windows, to be done in a single visit, we offer a specific option that allows for this customization. Please refer to our additional service options for more details.
CLIENT PREPARATION
To ensure an efficient and high-quality cleaning, your home must be fully prepared before our team arrives. Please make sure to:
Pick up all clothing, toys, papers, and personal items from floors, furniture, and surfaces
Clear countertops, sinks, and any areas to be cleaned
Remove or secure any fragile or valuable items
- If interior fridge or freezer cleaning is included in your service, the appliance must be fully emptied prior to our arrival. We do not handle or dispose of food items.
Our cleaners do not tidy, organize, or declutter. Any area that is cluttered, blocked, or inaccessible may be skipped. Failure to prepare the home properly may prevent us from completing the service as expected. No refunds or re-cleans will be issued in such cases.
24-HOUR GUARANTEE
Since cleaning is a highly personal and human service, we understand that occasionally an area may not be cleaned to your satisfaction. We do not offer refunds, but AbracadaClean will gladly re-clean any area you are not satisfied with. Just inform us of any issues or concerns within 24 hours of your cleaning, and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
This guarantee is only valid for recurring cleaning services over $150.
To qualify for this guarantee, the home must be fully accessible, the original scope of work must have been completed, and photos or a detailed explanation must be provided within the 24-hour window. The guarantee applies only to the areas originally scheduled and cleaned. Additional or modified requests will not be covered. This guarantee does not apply if the cleaning was interrupted, rescheduled, or if the home’s condition did not match the estimate.
GRATUITY
AbracadaClean does not require tips, but it is a meaningful way to thank your professional cleaners. If you really wish to leave a tip, please give it in cash directly to the cleaners and do not add tips to card or check payments.
Even posting an online review expressing your appreciation for their service can mean a great deal.
CANCELLATION
We understand that it may be necessary to reschedule at times. If you need to cancel or skip your scheduled service, AbracadaClean requires two business days’ notice.
For example, if your appointment is on a Wednesday, you must notify us no later than Monday morning. (9:00 am)
If your cleaning is scheduled for Monday, you must notify us no later than the Thursday morning (9:00 am) before — since weekends are not business days.
If we receive less than two business days’ notice or if we cannot access your home, you may be charged up to the full price of your cleaning.
All future cleanings will remain unchanged. Please contact us directly to make schedule changes. Schedule or service changes cannot be made through your professional cleaner.
Recurring services are priced at a discounted rate. Should you choose to cancel recurring service after only one cleaning, please note that our standard One-Time Cleaning charges will apply.
PRICE CHANGES
Service rates are subject to change at any time to reflect adjustments in labor costs, inflation, and operational expenses. Clients will be notified of any price increase in advance. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of the new rate.
SUPPLIES
AbracadaClean uses safe and effective professional-grade cleaning supplies to clean your home. However, if you have specific products you would like us to use on particular surfaces, we are happy to accommodate your request. Please contact our office before your cleaning to provide instructions for your professional cleaner.
BREAKAGE/LOSS
AbracadaClean is bonded and insured. We carry a general liability insurance policy of up to $2,000,000 for your peace of mind.
If breakage/loss occurs, notification must be made within 24 hours of service. Key replacement/locksmith fees are covered only if keys are lost or miscoded. There is a $100 per location liability limit for key replacement and/or locksmith services.
Clients are responsible for securing or removing all valuables such as cash, jewelry, and electronics before the service. AbracadaClean will not be held liable for the loss or theft of any personal property. In the rare case of an alleged theft, the client agrees to notify AbracadaClean and local authorities immediately, and to provide all supporting documentation for any claim.
PETS
Please secure all pets. AbracadaClean will treat all pets with care and respect; however, we cannot be responsible for their escape.
If a pet becomes anxious or aggressive and prevents our team from performing their duties safely and efficiently, our cleaners will leave the home. In this case, the full cleaning cost will be charged, as per our cancellation policy.
MODIFICATION OF TERMS AND SITE ADJUSTMENT
AbracadaClean may update these Terms from time to time, at its sole discretion. Unless otherwise required by law, any changes will take effect as soon as they are posted on this Site or, when applicable, communicated by email. By continuing to use our Site or Services after these updates are posted, you agree to the revised Terms.
We also reserve the right to make changes to the Site, including modifying, temporarily suspending, or discontinuing certain parts of the Site, Content, or Services, at any time and without prior notice. These changes may be made for a variety of reasons, or simply as part of ongoing improvements. Please note that we cannot be held liable to you or to any third party for such updates or interruptions. From time to time, we may refresh the information and features available on the Site, and access to certain parts of the Services or Content may be limited—whether you’re visiting as a guest or a registered user.
DIRECT HIRING OF ABRACADACLEAN EMPLOYEES
AbracadaClean invests significant time and resources in recruiting, vetting, and training qualified professional cleaners. For this reason, clients are strictly prohibited from soliciting, hiring, or engaging directly with any current or former AbracadaClean employee or contractor for cleaning services, whether on a legal or cash basis, within 24 months of their last assignment with us.
All AbracadaClean employees sign a formal agreement prohibiting them from offering services to clients outside of their work with AbracadaClean. Soliciting our employees for private work not only violates our terms, but may also place the employee in breach of contract and subject them to legal and professional consequences.
If a client solicits or hires an AbracadaClean employee directly, the client agrees to pay an employment referral fee of $2,500, plus any legal, administrative, investigative, or collection costs incurred by AbracadaClean to enforce this policy — including attorney fees and time spent gathering proof of violation.
Exchanging contact information for the purpose of bypassing AbracadaClean is considered a breach of this agreement.
Unless fully compliant with labor laws, such direct, unreported, or inappropriate employment practices are illegal. You acknowledge that AbracadaClean is obligated to report unlawful hiring activity to the appropriate governmental or judicial authorities. Implication, complicity, or failure to report such actions may expose both the client and the employee to legal consequences under U.S. federal and local law.
INVOICES AND COMMUNICATION
All invoices, payment confirmations, and service-related communication are sent by e-mail only.
By using AbracadaClean’s services, you agree to receive all billing and account-related documents electronically. Paper invoices are not issued.
The digital version of any invoice or communication sent from our system or by e-mail shall be considered the original and legally binding document for all purposes.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that a valid and regularly-checked e-mail address is on file. If you need to update your contact information, please notify our office before your next scheduled service.
SERVICE LIMITATIONS
For safety and insurance reasons, we do not climb higher than a two-step ladder.
We will attempt to reach all visible areas using an extension duster or vacuum extension.
We cannot move items weighing more than 25 pounds.
We cannot touch or move firearms in order to clean an area. Customers who own firearms should relocate them to an area we do not clean.
We do not clean animal/human feces, urine, vomit, blood, or other similar biohazard materials.
We do not use bleach unless specifically requested by the client. Please note that we will not be responsible for any damage it may cause.
We clean only “living space,” which refers to the area in a home or facility that is air-conditioned.
Our cleaners do not wash dishes or clean eating utensils, unless this has been explicitly added as a paid extra service.
Water Availability: Access to running water is essential for the proper execution of our services.
If water is completely unavailable on the premises at the time of service and this has not been disclosed at least 48 hours in advance, the cleaning will still be charged in full, even if it cannot be performed.
In case of partial water unavailability (e.g., no water in the kitchen), and if this was not disclosed prior to the cleaning, AbracadaClean reserves the right to apply a flat-rate surcharge due to the operational impact and additional labor required.
The client is responsible for ensuring that water is accessible and functional throughout the areas to be cleaned.
Clients must ensure that both running water and electricity are available at the time of service. If either is unavailable and this was not disclosed at least 48 hours in advance, the cleaning will still be charged in full. AbracadaClean may also apply a flat-rate surcharge in case of partial utility unavailability, depending on the operational impact.
We do not remove or haul away trash, debris, or furniture. This also applies to Post-Construction Cleanup.
Before we begin a new construction job, all equipment, tools, and/or debris must be removed. It is highly recommended that all construction work orders be completed before final cleanup services are provided. The final clean we provide is a thorough and detailed deep clean in preparation for the new homeowners to move in. We do not guarantee this type of service, as most construction companies fail to adhere to this policy and typically have contractors working inside the home while cleaners are trying to clean it. As they clean some areas, contractors often create additional messes in areas that have already been cleaned by the cleaning crew. We take no responsibility for the outcome of cleanings that fall under “NEW CONSTRUCTION.”
